Kiddie book club alert! Saw this on Scrum-dilly-do today, clicked into Target's Ready. Sit. Read! site and had an ah-ha moment. Everyone knows how much I love my book club, now it is time to share the fun of a book club with the kids.
From the Ready. Sit. Read! site:
Use the guide as a starting point for hatching ideas tht bring your chosen book to life. Location, games, crafts, snacks: All can be inspired by the book’s subject or characters. If the book is about camping, hold your next meeting in a tent, play flashlight tag and serve s’mores. If the book’s main character is a bunny, make and wear rabbit ears and decorate cookies cut out with an Easter cookie cutter. You and your child(ren) will have a ball just planning the club meeting.I'm going to try and start one for my kids aged almost 3 and almost 6. If you're interested in having your kids join us let me know. I'm ready to pick a book and have our first meeting!
